| I feel privileged to introduce to you Padmanava College of Engineering, Rourkela, which was established under the aegis of the Padmanava Educational Trust, Bhubaneswar on the 14th November, 1999 and is situated in the heart of the Steel City of Rourkela. It is a registered non-government organization dedicated to promoting and aiding quality education in the state of Odisha. It is the first degree level private technical institution in the Western region of the State. It is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education and the Govt. of Odisha and is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela. |

| Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. It has been the constant endeavour of the Management, the Faculty members and the Administration to maintain high standards both in academics and personality development. While the faculty members are fully dedicated to the cause of the College, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela and the giant Steel Industry, the Rourkela Steel Plant, being the next door neighbours, we utilize the expertise available there for the development of laboratories and both academic and non-academic curricula. |

| The College is unique in one respect that it has eight Senior Professors on roll, who are renowned in their own fields and have retired from NIT, Rourkela. The College is flourishing under their guidance. Because of the excellence and recognition the College has earned during the past twelve years since its inception most of the passed out graduates have been placed through Campus interview, Off Campus interview or on their own, in various reputed organizations like Infosys, WIPRO Technologies, HCL, Carritor, CTS, Syntel Ltd., Tech Mahindra, Mahindra Satyam,Tavent Technologies, HP, TCS, L&T ECC Ltd., OCL India, NPCL, Accenture, Robert Bosch, US Technologies, ADITI, Shriram Value Services, etc. |

As regards Infrastructural facilities, the College has well furnished laboratories, a well stocked library that has huge collection of books and journals. Internet facility is available to the students and staff throughout 24 hours a day. The College can be compared to any other leading technical institution of the country in these respects.

Because of past placement records of passed out graduates, commendable infrastructural facilities and academic excellence the College has been able to establish over these years, it has obtained the ISO -9001-2008 certification.

Rourkela is well connected by rail with all the major cities like Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore. Besides, our Management will be too happy to extend local hospitality to the visiting team members.
